Grammy-winning producer Timbaland is keeping busy these days as reports claim he is hard at work on a comeback album for iconic 90’s music group, Jodeci.
According to reports, Timbo has announced his work on the crew’s first release in nearly 20 years.
During a chat with fans on the Hang w/ app (via HHNM), he revealed the news. “I met with DeVante and I’ma help work on the new Jodeci album,” said Timbo. “I ain’t really supposed to say that, but I’ll be working with the new Jodeci album,” he said, adding, “And it does sound good.” Jodeci is reportedly in the studio readying their first album in 19 years. The “Holy Grail” hitmaker previously collaborated with the ’90s R&B group on their 1993 album Diary of a Mad Band. (Rap-Up)
Timbo raised eyebrows after dishing out a new track in Paris last fall.
Timbaland is currently overseas with Hov for the European leg of the Magna Carta World Tour. While they were stopped in Birmingham, U.K., Tim gave the fans a nice treat in the form of a new Jay Z and Drake collaboration. There’s no information on where this track will end up or what it’s for, but from the clip above we can tell it’s nice. We can hear Drake rap, “I just gotback home, 40 days on vacation. Know we killing the game, shit is all for the taking……..I’m a star in the making.” Maybe this is for Tim’s upcoming album? Either way, we’re looking forward to hearing the full CDQ sooner than later.
